About this episode
Hattie Boydle is a WBFF World Champion, personal trainer and body positivity advocate based in Sydney. We start where her story began, taking up gymnastics at four and reaching elite level.
In a very open discussion, Hattie shares her experience of anorexia, from being hospitalised to finding the motivation and mental strength to recover, and how she recognised and challenged unhealthy thoughts. She then became a personal trainer and channelled past adversity into fitness modelling, winning the WBFF world title in 2016.
We contrast her mindset then and now, and discuss food as fuel, why consistency beats motivation, building sustainable habits, nutrition principles, risks in the fitness industry, her business ventures, and how she uses her experience to support young women with body positivity.
