About this episode
The Injector Diaries feature in-depth conversations with injectors from around the globe, from newcomers to masters. We explore how and why they started injecting, the products they favour and what happens under the hood of their clinics.
In Chapter 3 we meet Madilyn Wolens, better known as The Functional Nurse and founder of The Functional Skin Studio in Brisbane. Madilyn struggled with her skin as a teenager, which inspired her to work in aesthetics. Her experience of conventional treatments sparked an interest in a more holistic approach, and she now leads a team including a naturopath and holistic facialist alongside offering injectables herself.
We discuss moving from beauty therapy to injecting, early confidence, mentorship, managing difficult patients and red flags, building a personal brand, starting a clinic, burnout and anxiety, integrative medicine and treating root causes, combining injectables with holistic care, and growing a team.
