About this episode
Dr Nichola Conlon is an academic scientist with a particular interest in how and why we age. She founded Nuchido, a company on a mission to bring affordable anti-ageing strategies to the public.
When we started IA in 2019, some early episodes covered the link between looking good and feeling good, but we never addressed ageing itself or the evolving field many now call regenerative medicine. Research here is becoming more and more profound, with some scientists confident that ageing can be slowed or even reversed. That is especially relevant for aesthetic clinics, which until now have only been able to camouflage the external signs of ageing.
We discuss what anti-ageing science really means, why ageing happens at a cellular level, the role of NAD, IV NAD versus oral supplements, chronic inflammation, biological age testing, diet and fasting, biohacking, future longevity treatments and what clinics can offer patients today.
